CMU School of Music selects top talent for Opus XVI

Central Michigan University’s School of Music has selected 16 of its most talented student solo and ensemble groups to perform at Opus XVI on April 6 in CMU’s Music Building. The annual collage concert raises funds for scholarships, equipment and travel for music students.  
 
The Central Michigan University Chamber Singers conducted by Dr. Nina Nash-Robertson and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble conducted by Jack Williamson will also perform at the gala event.
 
The black tie optional evening includes a strolling reception catered by Soaring Eagle Resort and a cash bar beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the collage concert at 8 p.m. Dessert and coffee with the featured student musicians will conclude the evening.
 
Tickets for Opus XVI are $125, which includes a $75 tax-deductible contribution. Individual tickets may be purchased by calling 989-774-1885, and corporate and group sponsorships may be arranged by calling Christine Alwood in CMU’s Development and Alumni Relations office at 989-774-7155.
Space is limited, and reservations are required.
