CMU's MHTV named MAB College Television Station of the Year for 12th consecutive year

Central Michigan University’s Moore Hall Television has been named College Television Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for an unprecedented 12th consecutive year. The announcement was made at the annual MAB conference Wednesday.
 
College Television of the Year Award
The Michigan Association of Broadcasters presents the College Television Station of the Year award based on technical quality, presentation and content of entry submission. CMU’s MHTV and its hour-long student produced nightly newscast News Central 34 have been recognized with the award for 12 consecutive years.
 
In addition to winning College Television Station of the Year, the MAB presented CMU students with nine awards and four honorable mentions within both radio and television at their annual award ceremony in Lansing. CMU students took home first place honors for college television in the following categories: News Feature/Magazine, Public Service Announcement and Station Activities Report. CMU students swept the category of Daily Newscast receiving first place, second place and an honorable mention.
 
CMU was the most highly decorated university broadcasting program in the college television competition, edging out Michigan State University, Adrian College and Grand Valley State University.
