CMU-RC hires business development manager

Nickolas Houghton has joined Central Michigan University Research Corp. as the Business Development Manager, CMU-RC President and CEO Erin Strang announced today.

 

In his new role, Houghton will be responsible for providing client services, including business plan development, feasibility analysis and supply chain development. He also will manage student employees and provide guidance and direction for their projects.

 

“Nick brings a wealth of knowledge to the business development manager position,” Strang said. “As a successful entrepreneur, he provides real-world expertise when coaching and facilitating client companies through the process of building and accelerating their own business ventures.”

 

Before joining CMU-RC Houghton worked as district sales manager for Flexible Optional Services Plus, where he was responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing plans. Prior to his work with Flexible Optional Services Plus, Houghton was the CEO of Your Custom Image and Houghtrain Beverage Bongs LLC, both companies he founded.
