University Theatre will perform “Buffalo Gal” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 through 12 and 17 through 19 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 and 20 in Moore Hall's Theatre-on-the-Side at Central Michigan University.

“Buffalo Gal” is the story of a fading television star torn by a decision she knows could crush her hometown theater, a former lover and more.

“‘Buffalo Gal’ is a very charming, funny and poignant play about what it means to go ‘home.’ It’s very entertaining and hopefully will move the audience to think about what ‘home’ means to them,” said Steve Berglund, director of University Theatre.

The six-person cast was presented with a unique challenge while preparing the play because it’s performed in the round. The cast has made adjustments to perform surrounded by an audience.

Overall, Berglund is happy with the preparation for “Buffalo Gal.”

“I would like the audience to be entertained and moved by the decisions the characters make,” Berglund said. “We are looking forward to performing.”
