Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine, has named Central Michigan University to its 2014 Military Friendly Schools list. The list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country doing the most to serve members of America’s military, veterans and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

“CMU continues to be a leader in making access and enrollment into educational programs as easy and accommodating as possible for our military members,” said Mike Nunnally, CMU’s Global Campus military manager. “CMU has been providing affordable, cost effective educational opportunities for more than 40 years to this country’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen — earning the title ‘Military Friendly’ every day.”

CMU has graduated more than 150 flag officers, among the highest military designations, across all military branches. Graduate programs provide senior military staff with the leadership skills they use daily and as they transition to civilian management positions.

Now in its fifth year, the 2014 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through research and a survey of more than 10,000 schools nationwide. The 2014 list includes 1,868 colleges, universities and trade schools throughout the country. Find the 2014 list here.

CMU also has recently been named to Military Advanced Education's 2013 list of "Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities." This is the sixth consecutive year CMU has received this designation.
